Sint Maarten Maps

These maps show the Dutch southern part of the island and its relationship with French Saint Martin to the north. Use the elevation map to understand the hills and low coastal areas, and the satellite map to identify the coastline, Great Bay, Simpson Bay Lagoon and the island's densely developed western and southern districts.

Useful when planning: Sint Maarten is only about 34 sq km, but traffic around Philipsburg, Simpson Bay, Cole Bay and the airport can make short distances surprisingly slow. The maps are therefore best used together with the Sint Maarten travel guide.

Sint Maarten Elevation Map

The elevation map shows how hills rise quickly behind many coastal districts. Philipsburg sits beside Great Bay on the southeast coast, while the low western area around Simpson Bay Lagoon, Maho and the airport contrasts with the steeper interior.
